Kennebec Technologies started out in 1972 as Kennebec Tool & Die, a mom-and-pop garage-based machine shop serving its local market. In 1984, Charles “Wick” Johnson bought the company and embarked on a steady plan to expand its capabilities and market.
Over the years, the company increased in size and scope, serving an international customer base in the aerospace, medical, renewable energy, and military sectors manufacturing complex, high-precision parts and assemblies.
When the economy softened in 2008 and manufacturing tailed off, Kennebec recognized the need for an aggressive growth strategy. They hired Y!MG to update the company's brand identity and develop a suite of communications tools that better convey its present-day capabilities and sophistication.
