In 2007 a company called Recyclaholics approached us for help developing a new name and brand identity. The company had started small as a regional wholesaler of biodegradable dinnerware.
Over time the company grew into one of the larger wholesalers in the United States for dinnerware and food packaging made from natural fibers, bio-plastics and other renewable and compostable natural materials.
Through their long history in the renewable and compostable products industry, members of the group developed expertise in zero-waste operations assessment and implementation. As a result, zero-waste consulting became another service the organization provides.
Having evolved to a higher level in the marketplace, they felt as though they had outgrown their homespun name and needed a more sophisticated logo to more appropriately represent the brand.
We worked through the name-generation portion of our BrandStorming™ process and presented the group with a variety of potential names for consideration. Ultimately they chose “Recology Solutions,” for which we designed a logo and brand identity.
