Smart HomeOwner Magazine started as a home technology publication with the tagline, “Home Technology Explained.” As the magazine progressed and its market evolved the focus of the magazine shifted from home technology in general to home technologies that are healthier for the inhabitants, easier to live in, and that use new “green” technologies like solar and wind power and high-efficiency insulation systems.
We employed our BrandStorming™ process with the Smart HomeOwner team to distill the essence of what the magazine stands for and represents for its readers. The end result was a new tagline, “Innovative Solutions for Creating Efficient, Healthy Eco-Friendly Homes” and new messaging for their media kits and website.
Over the years we’ve developed annual media kits and produced an e-mailable positioning video intended to entice C-level executives to include Smart HomeOwner in their media plans.
